Philanthropists Named Honorary Police Officers by Borough of Fanwood
FANWOOD, NJ — Dr. Caeser DePaço, the founder and CEO of Summit Nutritionals International, and his wife, Deanna Padovani-DePaço have been appointed Honorary Fanwood Police Officers, a first in the history of the Fanwood police department.
Police director Michael Bramhall made the announcement at the Fanwood Council meeting on Monday, Dec. 4, and said that the couple had earned the honor after having made more than $14,000 in donations to the department. At the meeting, Officer Tim Green was in his bicycle uniform, and Sgt. Thomas Chisolm and Officer Chris Pineiro wore the outer vests.
With the donation, Fanwood PD has purchased four new AEDs (Automated external defibrillators) for patrol units, 15 new “outer vest” carriers for every sworn Fanwood officer, and two new police bicycles and related equipment for the borough’s bicycle officers.
Fanwood is not the only town where the DePaços have aided law enforcement; the couple has assisted police departments for over 10 years with their philanthropy. A native of Portugal, has lived in the U.S. since 1994 with his family.
“What Dr. DePaço and his wife Deanna continue to do for the law enforcement community is truly life-saving work,” Bramhall said. “Their generosity to Law Enforcement is second to none. In very difficult times, it is a great comfort to know that people like Dr. DePaço and his wife Deanna are whole heartily supporting the Law Enforcement Community. The Borough of Fanwood is forever grateful.”
