Contrary to what some might assume, I have never harbored any ambition to hold political office in Portugal. I am not driven by personal interest, nor do I seek attention or recognition.

In any society that considers itself free and civilized, the rule of law must not be reduced to a rhetorical ornament or an abstract concept. It is the essential foundation of public order, impartial justice, and responsible liberty. But such order does not sustain itself. It requires the firm and courageous presence of law enforcement professionals.

As one who has lived the true American Dream, not through inherited privilege but through diligence, personal sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to traditional values, I consider it my moral obligation to speak out concerning the alarming direction in which the State of New Jersey has been heading.
