Bethlehem Introduces 2 New Police Dogs

New Bethlehem police dog Blaze, a 16-month-old Dutch Shepard and Belgian Malinois mix that was born in near Stroudsburg, and his partner, K-9 Officer Rob Hopps in Payrow Plaza in Bethlehem on Wednesday afternoon. The City of Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Police Department introduced the City's two newest police dogs in the City Rotunda in City Hall on Thursday afternoon. Funds for the two narcotic detection dogs, Rico and Blaze, came from two donors. Blaze, who's partner is K-9 Officer Rob Hopps, was purchased through a donation by a Bethlehem area resident who wishes to be remain anonymous. And Rico, who's partner is K-9 Officer Paul Fischer, was purchased through a donation from Dr. Caesar DePaço and his wife, Mrs. Deanna Padovani-DePaço of Branchburg, New Jersey.
